Thumbs up Soda's Fashion Diary
I think a clothes and fashion thread would be fun. Blokes included.

I'm horribly confused about jeans. Every time I pick up a magazine they are telling me I need a new shape.

There is the high waist, the low rise and the skinny or the straight leg or even the wide leg boyfriend jeans. I favour the skinnies myself, when it's not just after Christmas.

Re: Fashion
I'm not good on fashion, though i do love my jeans. I cannot stand high rise, they remind me of overweight middle aged women trying to hold everything in Not big on skinny leg jeans because i don't like my thighs, though i do have a gorgeous pair i love to bits. Also my flares, borderline bell-bottom. They're soo cool! Dad makes fun of my 70s fashion sense. Men

Re: Fashion
I tend to go with what suits me... So I'm desperately looking for a pair of black slims, and other than that I keep to boot cuts. Low rise looks better with a short top, is more comfortable but less convenient (BUTT CRACK ALERT etc), but high rise (without getting too high) is far nicer with long tops/tunics, less comfortable (well I hate sitting down and feeling the top of the jeans dig into me).
I love shoes. I almost bought a pair of stunning short boots on saturday, they were 28€...and gorgeous. But I have already bought three pairs of shoes this winter, two of which were boots.
I never know what to do with my hair...up? plaits? french plaits? loose? loose with a hair band? Agh!

Re: Fashion
It's not just me then. High rise seem so frumpy to me.

I love boots too. I have 8 pairs (not all bought this year!) My latest were a flat suede pair of ankle boots with a tassel on the back. I love em, although they are rubbish in the wet. Soggy socks are not nice.

Re: Fashion
I googled "man boots" and got this: http://www.hotboots.com/

Soooo disturbing.

I have boots like these only fairly different. Same concept.

Re: Fashion
Kickflares are the best for me (short, slightly pear shaped) but they're difficult to come by at the mo. Bootflares just aren't the same.

My obsession is for cord blazers. I have seven currently (and I still need - yes, NEED! a navy one!)

Re: Fashion
Ooh, and I'm also obsessed with Wallabees. Just the three pairs at the mo though!

Clarks Wallabees - they come in all sorts of variations but look fab with kickflares

They do pasty style ones too
